Dave Chura, Founder
Dave has a 34 year background in information technology, having spent the first 23 years in early-stage companies including VP and CTO roles resulting in two acquisitions and an IPO, and the last 11 years as a Director and Fellow at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Serving often as the chief technologist, Dave has successfully developed and championed new technologies that solve real market problems, most recently in the adoption of commercial technology to military systems. Dave has been awarded 12 patents in large-scale databases, networking, digital imaging and compression and protects many trade secrets in peer-to-peer technology. Background highlights:
  • Northrop Grumman Information Systems, as a Northrop Grumman Fellow and as Director of Strategy and Technology for a $600M business unit, directed investment of $70M+ in R&D projects over an eleven year period in networked systems, communications, command & control, cyber and information assurance
  • Uprizer, Inc., served as VP and CTO developing the first enterprise-class peer-to-peer content delivery system. Spoke at conferences and was guest lecturer on distributed systems. Acquired by Vidyah, Inc.
  • Peerless Systems Corporation, served as Director and Chief Architect for propreitary hardware and software sold in over one million units in the printer and copier markets. Sucessful IPO.
  • Teradata Corporation, served as Network Software Architect for development and delivery of the world's largest commerical databases. Acquired by AT&T.
  • Symbolics, Inc., developed custom hardware for Artificial Intelligence as used by customers such as American Express. "Symbolics" was the first registered Internet domain name:

Dave is an mobile entrepreneur, having developed and sold over 100,000+ apps and in-app purchases through the Apple, Google and Amazon App Stores, primarily targeted to guitar players but also for educational apps such as a speech processing exhibit in the Phaeno Science Center in Wolfsburg, Germany.
