Problems and Solutions

The inter-app audio support in iOS can be difficult and furthermore each amp/effect app can have different behavior. So, if you are experiencing problems, try the following:

If your effect app is stuck with one of these messages:

Waiting for audio... or NO AUDIO INPUT!

In these cases, the amp/effect app is not generating audio, likely because the effect app requires an instrument to be plugged into your device. In most cases, plugging in will resolve the problem.

In general, the steps below will resolve most problems, including the 'failed to start' error:

1. Remove the effect app from Amp Rack by swiping left on the app icon and tapping on 'Remove'The display also shows your audio waveform live as you play so you can always see that audio is flowing!

2. Go to the main device screen and start the effect app by itself. Then double-click the home button and kill the effect app

3. Go back to Amp Rack and add the effect again

If nothing works, then kill all effect apps and Amp Rack and start again with Amp Rack. Sorry...
